Are You Doing What Matters Most?
Do your family life, work, and spiritual life support your core values? If you made a list of the 5 things that are the most important to you, would your daily activities reflect their importance?
Life works better when you live life in line with your core values. Your life will be less hassled, more balanced, and much more fulfilling. Take time to reflect on what changes you can make. What needs to go be added to or elimiated from your life so that your life includes more of what's important to you. I know a lot of people who rarely seem to have time to do what they really want to do. Work takes up too much time and their life is way out of balance. In today's economy people feel under pressure to work even harder and work long hours to keep up with the demands of their work.
Under those circumstances it's easy to believe that there isn't enough time to do everything that needs to be done, let alone spend time doing what you really want to do.
When you feel at the mercy of circumstances it's easy to end up feeling so frustrated that work, your personal life and your spritual life suffer. When left unchecked it leads to burnout and breakdown. Restoring balance is crucial if you want to thrive in every area of your life. Balance doesn't mean carrying on balancing everything but with less tension, stress, and pressure. To restore balance to your life you may need to make tough choices about how to spend your time and energy based on what you know about your core values.
Living in line with your core values requires a different approach to life. You will only achieve true work-life balance when you stop trying to have it all and do it all. You probably have around five major values you need to consider when circumstances demand that you make difficult choices. These are your core values. You feel uncomfortable and out of balance when your actions are in conflict with your core values. If your life is out of balance, start by identifying your core values. The next step is to honestly evaluate circumstances in your work, personal and spritual life. Restoring a healthy work-life balance is vital to peace of mind, peak performance, and thriving rather than just surviving.
Are there areas in your life where you are acting in conflict with your core values?
What will you do to bring things into balance?

More Help To Transform Your Life
If you know that you're more likely to succeed with help, but don't have the budget to hire a coach, my 16 week email coaching program is very affordable and it will equip you to give your life a makeover and help you to live life in tune with your values.
This is a simple, yet powerful exercise.
Work through the steps and take time to stop and consider your answers to each question. I suggest you record your thoughts.
This exercise will help you to become clear about what you really want and identify the steps to take you there.
Now, think of the possibility of making these things a reality in your life.
Write them down. Simply being aware of them and writing them down will help to defuse their power.
What do you need to do to help you move forward?
Make a list, don't leave anything out, and remember to include the small things too.
Go through your list and prioritise the steps you need to take.
Decide exactly what you will do and when you will do it. Put the steps in your diary and check regularly to ensure that you're on course.
Evaluate. Set aside time each week to review your progress and make any necessary adjustments.
Ask for help if you need it. Find someone you can trust to encourage you and spur you on.
Enlist your imagination - picture yourself having achieved each of your goals.
Look with eyes of faith. Allow yourself to dream and know that all things are possible to those who love God.
Now, go and partner with God to make it happen.
