I promise I haven't forgotten you. It's been a strange start to the year. It's taken me longer than usual to recharge my batteries, my get up and go has been noticeably absent...

I've been trying to work out why it's been such a struggle to get things going because I usually love new beginnings and fresh starts.

In previous years I've been geared up for the New Year with plans and projects that I can hardly wait to get going with.

This year has been different. I have lots of ideas. I believe I know what God has in mind for me to do, but for one reason and another it hasn't been happening. There have been a LOT of false starts.

Does that ever happen to you?

You get inspired, you get excited about something, maybe you even make a start but then you get waylaid.

Maybe like me

• Circumstances have been hard to push past
• You've been frustrated by your lack of progress

That's not a good place to be.

I've been asking the Lord to show me what's getting in the way and how I can get unstuck and get going again with renewed enthusiasm.

He led me to a presentation I did 18 months ago, and it was just the reminder I needed. I'm picking myself up, dusting myself down and partnering with God to break through and come out the other side now that He's shown me what to do about it.
