🌿 Growth doesn’t always feel like growth—but it’s happening!
February 27, 2025
💡Life has a way of stretching us, doesn’t it?

Some seasons feel like everything is coming together effortlessly, while others feel like an uphill climb, where every step forward takes effort and perseverance. But whether you're facing challenges or stepping into new opportunities, one thing is certain—you're growing through it all.

Some struggles stretch us to our limits. Others refine us in ways we don’t recognize until much later. And often, we don’t realize how much we’ve changed until we look back and see how far we’ve come.

Wherever you are right now—whether you’re pushing through something difficult, stepping into something new, or just trying to hold steady—God is using this season to strengthen you from the inside out.

Strength Doesn’t Come From Avoiding Challenges—It Comes From Facing Them

Most of us don’t wake up thinking, "Today, I’m going to build resilience." We just do our best to get through the day. But if you look back, you’ll see that the times you grew the most weren’t the easiest—they were the times that stretched you, tested you, and caused you to rely on God like never before.

Resilience isn’t about being unshaken by life’s struggles or pretending things don’t affect you. It’s about trusting God even in the middle of uncertainty and believing He’s working in you through it all.

💡 Choosing to trust God even when the future is unclear.

💡 Taking a step of faith even when you don’t feel ready.

💡 Holding on when everything in you wants to give up.

Some days, resilience looks like boldly stepping forward. Other days, it looks like simply refusing to quit.

Either way, God is strengthening you—even when you don’t feel it yet.

How Do You Know You’re Growing?

Growth doesn’t always feel like growth. Sometimes, it feels like frustration, discomfort, or waiting. But when you look back, you’ll start to see the evidence of how God has been at work in you.

  • Maybe you’ve made it through something that once felt impossible, and now you see how God carried you.
  • Maybe a closed door turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
  • Maybe you’ve learned to trust God in ways you never could before.
Even if you don’t see it yet, God is using this season to deepen your faith, strengthen your character, and prepare you for what’s next.

Practical Ways to Strengthen Your Faith in Hard Seasons

We don’t just sit back and wait for growth to happen—we step into it with God. Here are three ways to build resilience when life feels tough:

1️⃣ Take It One Step at a Time

You don’t have to figure everything out at once. Just take the next small step.

  • If you're facing uncertainty, your next step might be simply surrendering it to God.
  • If you're waiting for breakthrough, your next step might be choosing to trust God’s timing.
  • If you're feeling stretched, your next step might be allowing yourself to rest in His presence.
Small, faithful steps add up over time.

2️⃣ Remember What God Has Already Done

Looking back at God's past faithfulness gives you confidence for the future.

  • What prayers has He already answered?
  • What struggles has He brought you through?
  • How has He provided for you when you needed it most?
Write it down. Reflect on it. God was faithful then, and you can trust Him to be faithful again.

3️⃣ Surround Yourself with Encouragement

You’re not meant to do this alone. Who in your life reminds you of God’s promises?

  • Spend time with people who encourage you in faith.
  • Stay in God’s Word and let it fill you with truth.
  • Encourage someone else—sometimes, strengthening others strengthens us too.

Your Challenge: Look Back to Move Forward

Sometimes, the best way to see how much we’ve grown is to take time to reflect.

📝 Action Step: Reflect & Write

  1. Think about a challenge or season that stretched you.
  2. How did God show up for you in that season?
  3. What did you learn from that experience?
  4. How has it shaped who you are today?
Write it down as a reminder that just as God was faithful before, you can trust Him to be faithful again.

A Prayer for You

Father, thank You for walking with me through every season of life. Even when I don’t always see it, I trust that You are working in me. Strengthen my faith, stretch my heart, and help me grow in ways that reflect Your love and purpose. Give me the resilience to persevere, the wisdom to recognize Your hand in my life, and the courage to embrace each new challenge with confidence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You Are Stronger Than You Think

Growth doesn’t always feel like growth when you’re in it. But one day, you’ll look back and see that everything you’ve been through has prepared you for what’s ahead.

🌱 Every challenge is growing something in you.

🌊 This season is shaping you for the next one.

💡 God is preparing you for something greater.

Keep going. Keep growing. God is with you every step of the way.
