"If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who RECONCILED US TO HIMSELF through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, NOT COUNTING PEOPLE'S SINS AGAINST THEM. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us." 2 Corinthians 5:17-20

"We don't evaluate people by what they have or how they look. We looked at the Messiah that way once and got it all wrong, as you know. We certainly don't look at him that way anymore.

Now we look inside, and what we see is that anyone united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new. The old life is gone; a new life burgeons! Look at it! All this comes from the God who settled the relationship between us and him, and then CALLED US TO SETTLE OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH EACH OTHER." MSG

The message in Corinthians is loud and clear... Jesus came so that we could be reconciled to God, and He wants us to be reconciled to each other. That isn't always easy; sometimes people have wounded us so badly that it's less painful to keep our distance and put healthy boundaries in place.

If you have broken relationships, things that still need to be settled and put right, ask God to show you what you can do to begin the process of putting things right so that you can live reconciled and in peace.
